Red Sox Raise Large Black Lives Matter Sign at Fenway Park

The Boston Red Sox made a very visible statement of anti-racism Wednesday as they put up a huge Black Lives Matter sign on an exterior wall of Fenway Park.

The sign, which says "Black Lives Matter" in large letters followed by the Sox' logo, faces the Massachusetts Turnpike and directs viewers to the Red Sox Foundation website for more information.

On the website is a statement on "Social Justice, Equity and Inclusion" from team President and CEO Sam Kennedy posted last month in the wake of the major protests over the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and others.

Not subsidizing this crap is not enough. I supported every tax cut for business and upper class voters because I thought it was right. But, now they support rioting looting, shutting down Conservatives on Facebook. since the only economic group of white voters were those making over 100k and the more they made over that the more they voted Dem and since the corporate media engages in nothing less than Democratic slime liar filth. I believe taxes on these corporate people are to low. We erred in lowering them and they need to pay much more. we also need a complete moratorium on pro business legislation. When they come to their senses then maybe we can work with them but not until then.

Professional sports will hopefully see a significant 25-50% drop in attendance and viewership. Enough to cause pain for the players, the owners, the networks and the advertisers. If there there is only a temporary blip, the social justice warriors will continue to push their agenda, with the support of conservatives who watch the games, buy the licensed merchandise, view the networks, and buy the products of the advertisers.
