Epstein victims will urge judge to keep Ghislaine Maxwell in jail: prosecutors (tomorrow)

Some of Jeffrey Epstein’s victims will urge a judge to keep his former lover, Ghislaine Maxwell, locked up pending trial as an alleged accomplice in his infamous pedophilia scheme, according to court papers filed Monday.

In addition, the “strong evidence” against Maxwell could soon get “even stronger” - with the help of additional witnesses who came forward following her arrest, prosecutors wrote.

The Manhattan federal court filing says that a lawyer for one of Epstein’s victims has already asked prosecutors to tell Judge Alison Nathan that “their client opposes bail for the defendant.”

“The Government also expects that one or more victims will exercise their right to be heard at the July 14, 2020 hearing in this matter, and will urge the Court not to grant bail,” prosecutors wrote.

Meanwhile, the FBI and the Manhattan US Attorney’s Office “have been in contact with additional individuals who have expressed a willingness to provide information regarding the defendant,” court papers say.

Tuesday’s hearing will be conducted by videoconference, with about 60 members of the news media and the public allowed to watch and listen to the feed in the central jury room of the federal courthouse at 500 Pearl St.

She tried to run during the arrest. Keep her locked up.

It depends on whether she has anything on the judge.

you would think a super spy family would know tin foil was not enough to protect the phone

and on another topic...the fall of Johnny Depp is just stunning.

somehow...starring in this Tom Petty video didn’t alert him to what could happen. His fairy godmother pulled the rug on him.

I can’t believe this is being decided by a NY judge. Don’t they have anything federal on this women? NY judges are all crooked.

If she gets out on bail then she either disappears or she gets suicided. Which is why I suspect she will be released. The deepstate needs one of those things to happen.

Not just if “She” has. Someone sure does.

Someone that Maxwell has something on has something on the judge. It’s all corrupt and she will never give anybody up. She’s doomed.

She tried to hide in her house, and would not answer the door. The agents had to break in. Also they found her cell phone wrapped in foil. She thought it would stop her cell phone from being tracked.

Since Epstein was suicided while in lockup I would assume its safer on the outside.

That depends on whether she has already given up her information. If so there is no profit in killing her. Revenge killing is very possible but not until people are in prison and have nothing more to lose. I suspect her residing in NH and subsequent capture were all arranged beforehand and that she has turned over all of her info. If she got cagey and withheld some evidence for leverage later, one of her clients will know that by what is missing and that will kill her at the earliest opportunity. It would have been impressed on her that withholding info would certainly get her killed. She likely already knew that.

Tucker Carlson was saying tonight that ehen she was arrested, Maxwell was being guarded by British ex-military personnel.

Anyone got anything more on that?

Her charges are federal. It’s a federal judge located in NYC.

Supposedly her brother hired Brit former military (don’t know if special forces) and rotated them frequently, gave them a credit card under the LLC to run errands so that she would never leave the grounds.
There was a small acreage there, but her neighbors never knew who the primary occupant was.
One security guy was encountered on the grounds during raid, I did not see any comment about how that interaction was.

Judge will bail her out so that Clinton’s people can get to her.

Thanks!

So the private “security guards”, apparently a lot of them, knew who they were guarding and were all fine and dandy with it?

Not likely.

FWIW, those don’t sound like private sector guys to me. They sound like off-the-books government operatives. The question being whose government/s...?

Supposedly only 2 at a time, pretty light security for this high risk.
Well, “hired by her brother” could be a euphemism for a lot of things, you’re right.
