After 2018's Mark Steyn Cruise docked at its final stop, Arnie and I stayed a few extra days in Boston.

We took a Freedom Trail walking tour, guided by an actor costumed as a real life 18th century local. (When I got home, I sent a thank you note to our exceptional guide, Gabriel Graetz, via Facebook — a note that was even more enthusiastic after I read a few of his posts and realized he was a man of the VERY far left. Yet not once did he express his political views during the tour, which I appreciated. Thanks again, Gabriel!)

Before we began the tour, we introduced ourselves. Arnie and I were the only Canadians. Occasionally, Gabriel would gently quiz us on early American history. I'd look around, pause a second or two, then answer. Correctly. "How do YOU know that?" an American in our group finally asked.

Well, it helped that I was 12 years old during the bicentennial, when TV was wall to wall red, white and blue history. (Raise your hand if you remember The Adams Chronicles.) I can still sing all these songs.

But otherwise, like most Canadians, I was steeped in reflexive anti-Americanism. Only after 9/11 did I go out of my way learn that many of the horrible things I'd been told all my life about the United States of America (from liberal US sources, not just the CBC) simply weren't true.

I read books about the American Revolution, entranced by that almost Biblical saga – especially compared to pokey Canadian history.

Canada lost forever the very best of its genetic pool from 1914-1945. Considering what was left to procreate and take over the government, it is not surprising that Canada has devolved into neo pagan decadence.

‘Canada has devolved into neo pagan decadence‘

And we are next if we don’t stem the tide in November. And then we need to take back our education system and actually teach AMERICAN History AND PRIDE IN THIS GREATEST COUNTRY ON EARTH.

It is Trump’s sacred duty to inform the American people just what is at stake for the American in this election. His reelection and the defeat of the marxist Democrats goes far beyond him as an individual.

Saw “Hamilton” and wow.

I should have never listened to the nay sayers.

Very rich in history and there was a lot of it in a bit over two hours.

Was there rapping? Uhm, kinda somewhere between rap and speaking fast but, in tempo that keeps your mind involved as they fire hose what could have been a four play and ain’t no one sitting for that

Very much enjoyed the rich deep history and they reference several times certain desires to abolish slavery.

Also enjoyed how they really portrayed the relationship between Hamilton and his life long protagonist Aaron Burr who eventually consumes Hamilton’s life in a duel

Hamilton is a must see and when it comes back on Broadway or tours I will gladly spend 1,000 for the ticket and as much for dinner before hand to celebrate what will be a very good evening indeed.

Canada ended up culturally exactly where England did; the main difference is Canada has more natural resources.
