SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio
Domestic violence: East Antisdale Road
A girl, 17, and her father got into a physical altercation June 22 after the man wanted to see her cell phone because he believed there to be provocative photos of her and another person.
The man was able to view pictures on the phone of his daughter in sexual positions with a male, whom she said was her boyfriend.
No charges were filed in the incident. Arrangements were made for the girl to stay with a family member for the night, and Child and Family Services was notified of the incident.

I hope she changes her ways.
A man who would do that with you and take pictures is not your friend.
And if you would do those things and allow pictures to be taken, you are a fool.
And just to be clear; if you do those things with a man youre not married to, you are a fool.
17 year old daughter using phone paid for by Daddy. Yup, he has the right to see it.
Whoever is with his daughter could be charged with statutory rape and if she’s able to consent she’s still under 18 and therefore could be charged with producing kiddie porn.
Can’t argue your points.
Yeah, ruin the life of her 17-year-old boyfriend. "No charges were filed." Does that tell you something?
Teenagers do lots of things they live to regret. Always have, always will. I know I did.

Most states have statutes where kids of similar ages having sex can't be charged with statutory rape, which is probably why no charges were filed.
Agreed. Kids do stupid things. Thankfully nobody decided to make a Federal case out of this as some have in the past, especially when camera on phones first became popular. Kids should learn lessons from stupid mistakes where nobody gets hurt; not do prison time and carry the burden of a criminal record.
So, did I.
However, I was smart enough not to take pictures.
If the State really wanted to go high and right, they could charge the daughter with production of child pornography and the father with possession, if he's the legal owner of the smart phone that contained the photos.
The boyfriend is most likely off the hook though for statutory rape charges.
She was wrong. Her father was right. He tried and lost his daughter to the wrongful influences of our corrupt society. He should forget about her and move on to associating exclusively with people who try to do what’s right.
We shouldn’t indulge in the criminal’s argument that everyone does evil deeds. To allow society to reflect the evils (e.g., today’s television) is to wallow in the filth and resulting misery. Instead, we should focus on ideals and try to improve.
The early 1960s television series depicting good families were right. Today’s television is wrong and has sunk to promoting wrongfulness.
I'm confident I would've been dumb enough to take photos had digital cameras and smart phones been plentiful during my stupid phase.
You're a better parent than I.
As the father of two boys and two girls, none of whom have reached their teens yet, I can't imagine disowning any of my children for the stupid and embarrasing (but hopefully harmless) mistakes they'll make in their teen years. And, yes, when I was seventeen, I was doing the same thing these kids were doing. Only difference is cameras weren't around. But if they were, I'm sure we'd have taken pics.
I had a camera in those days. Film and was a camera bug.
The price of film and developing was prohibitive, so I was careful about what I photographed.
I was also aware that developers looked at the pictures.
Dont take for granted that the mistakes that theyll make will be harmless. The consequences can last the rest of their lives (and yours).
Teach them that there are consequences. Make sure that there are certain punishments for things they do wrong. When you warn them that they will receive punishment for something, you must always follow through with your threat. Consistency is your friend. The more certain you are with your punishments the less you should have to do it.
Make sure that they know that sex is for marriage and not before. Dont let them watch movies that show sex as recreational. Dont let them watch movies or tv shows that display parents as fools.
You may see these shows as harmless entertainment, but you children are influenced by them.
Raising good kids is really difficult today with popular media attacking parental authority on every front on every day. Even Disney is not to be trust anymore.
I bless you and your children but I wish you luck trying to raise them these days.
“A girl, 17, and her father got into a physical altercation”
I’ll bet a dollar to a doughnut that she hit him first.
I hope he emancipates the bitch and lets her live her perverted life without any subsidy from him. She wants to do what she wants to do? Let her.
That certainly would not be high and right, but rather low and left(ist). If the boyfriend is of majority are, he alone holds the mantle of responsibility. The girl, a minor, cannot be held responsible for his actions, the father certainly has both legal and moral right and power over his minor child and his property.
