I misread the title. I thought it said “What IS really IS”. And it reminded me of Clinton saying “It depends on what IS is” and I thought philosophers had finally answered this important question.

Oh, the social drama. It’s so emotional.
I feel bad for kids with maybe not so good parents whose only outlet was school and staying until pop fell asleep after getting drunk.
Molestation victims who ar least had some peace during the day at school and maybe at some after school activities.
I know women that were molested as kids and they were terrified of being home.
I hope I don’t sound like a liberal :-) I just don’t like to see kids suffer.
And maybe it is a very low number but so is the mortality rate for this virus.
And people who have lost everything including their business. I pray they don’t turn to suicide
I know we all have personal responsibility and can’t fall apart at everything that happens but this was incredible. Just the most flagrant abuse of power that I’ve ever seen in America
Protecting children from abusers is very conservative.

I guess you are right. And the caseload for social workers would be realistic if minorities started getting married and being stable before having kids.

I’m not saying that a kid can’t end up abused by a married couple who did the engagement, wedding and stable job thing first. But it’s less likely.

One of my best friends has a 12 year old grandson. One of his classmates suicided in the last few weeks. He can’t be the only one. The toll of this lockdown is horrendous
