The word 'civilization' means not only peace by the non-regimentation of the people, such as is required in war. Civilization means that officials and authorities, whether uniformed or not, whether armed or not, are made to realize that they are servants and not masters.
Socialism or overweening State life, whether in peace or war, is only sharing miseries and not blessings. Every self-respecting citizen in every country must be on his guard lest the rulers demand of him in time of peace sacrifices only tolerable in a period of war...
Once the rulers of a country can create a war atmosphere in time of peace...It is only in very solidly established countries that the rights of the citizens can be preserved.
In Germany these rights vanished almost overnight.
The tyranny of the ruling junta extends into every department of life...At least on certain days, the very meals that a family eats in the privacy of its home are regulated by decree. The shadow of an all-powerful State falls between parent and child, husband and wife. Love itself is fettered and confined. To rivet this intolerable yoke upon the necks of the German people all the resources of propaganda have been utilized to magnify the sense of crisis...

Churchill’s mother was an American, but that did not make him a natural born citizen.
Congress bestowed honorary citizenship on him in the 1950’s.

Us citizen mothers who had children born abroad to non-citizen fathers did not pass on US citizenship to their children until the Citizenship Act of 1934.
Churchill wasn’t a US citizen at all, much less an NBC.
Keeping regular
A fair number of people falsely believe all you have to have is one citizen parent or be born here to foreigners to be a natural born citizen.
What Good Is A Constitution?
Not much when no one will uphold it as we found out on Usurpation Day.
Words have meaning or the Constitution is an illusion.

This basic concept of a democratic society is being sent to the ash heap by those who would rule us, whether they are uniformed or not.
The current crisis is spawning little Hitlers faster than mushrooms after a rain.
There is starting to be some push back, so we’re not all ready to give up our liberty.
Some of the places where protests have happened have surprised me.

The constitution either authorized what we now have or it allowed it. Either way not much good.
The Constitution didn’t, men did, interpreting it out of existence.
It’s a shame so many post about that which they didn’t read.
