just as I was about to post this, Tucker is mentioning it on his program:

25 Apr: The Atlantic: Internet Speech Will Never Go Back to Normal
In the debate over freedom versus control of the global network, China was largely correct, and the U.S. was wrong.
by Jack Goldsmith, Harvard Law School professor & Andrew Keane Woods, Professor of law at the University of Arizona College of Law
Today, the platforms are proudly collaborating with one another, and following government guidance, to censor harmful information related to the coronavirus. And they are using their prodigious data-collection capacities, in coordination with federal and state governments, to improve contact tracing, quarantine enforcement, and other health measures. As Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg recently boasted, “The world has faced pandemics before, but this time we have a new superpower: the ability to gather and share data for good.”...

As surprising as it may sound, digital surveillance and speech control in the United States already show many similarities to what one finds in authoritarian states such as China...
In the great debate of the past two decades about freedom versus control of the network, China was largely right and the United States was largely wrong. Significant monitoring and speech control are inevitable components of a mature and flourishing internet, and governments must play a large role in these practices to ensure that the internet is compatible with a society’s norms and values...

Kneecap one of your state’s major industries. Sounds about right.

The statewide “Stay at Home” order would be lifted in Stage 4, allowing for concerts, conventions and sporting events with crowds. This phase would require a vaccine or population-level immunity from COVID-19.

Said Newsom, “I want to caution everybody, if we pull back too quickly and we walk away from our incredible commitment to not only bend this curve but to stop the spread and suppress the spread of this virus,

Governor Gavin... What if it takes 10 years to get the vaccine? Or if scientists cannot develop a vaccine?
After all, there is no vaccine for AIDS.
I guess fans may not go to Dodger Stadium as long as Governor Gavin is in charge...No vaccine no baseball...

Herd immunity? How is that possible if Californians are forced to stay home...

Suppress the spread? Did he say that at the beginning?
I cannot listen to him for too long...I get too annoyed...

When he talks about weeks, he could mean 15 weeks or 52 weeks...Who knows? I still don’t see the light at the end of tunnel in California...

in 60 years the movies I went to see were 100% full 2 times. They were 10% full 20-30 times 3% full the rest.

Darn. I really wanted to spend my money on the next "Woke" movie showing some empowered, strong wymin beating up on evil White Males.

And what will Western Civilization do without comic book movies?!

I guess I could finish reading that Shakespeare play. The Marvel scripts are far, far superior of course. But whatyagunnado?

Just stream them at home.

Some upscale theaters are now streaming their special releases.

Why reopen them when “Hollywood” hasn’t made more than a small handful of decent movies in the last 40 years. At least what I consider as decent in the likes of the golden age of the movies in the 30s-60s.

Here is something to ponder.

You go to the grocery store, purchase items that may have been handled, then check out, put in your card in the card reader, then push the keys to enter your pin.

And? You all sure that if they wipe that card reader off they got it clean?

How about at the gas pumps? Is someone pumping your gas for you? If not, who has handled that handle before you? Card readers on those also.

What about opening the doors at those places if they are not auto doors?

Coins, if you pay cash at store check outs?

Unreal...
