LOT of evidence out there marijuana causes psychosis and schizophrenia. As well as permanently impairing cognitive brain ability. As well as causing COPD, emphysema and lung cancer. Much worse than tobacco.

But Big Tobacco is now Big Marijuana, and has convinced everyone that smoking dope is healthy and good for you.

That is complete and utter ignorance

Tobacco does town marijuana

Ridiculous assertion

I’ll tell you who does cause like Paul Harrell I’m what you call a professional in the pot ag ....since 1972 with some sabbaticals here and there

Who grows weed in America today is 2/3rds small time individual growers who if they do it right indoors and outdoor in season can make a decent living 150-300,000 a year selling it to dispensaries or back door or making edibles or concentrates themselves and selling it however via legal states

This is from the COW states to Michigan and Colorado and the newer legal states that allow growing or importing from state’s which allow collateral transfer of bonded or permitted pot goods like from California to Oklahoma

Twenty percent of growers are commercial outfits ranging from Cargill and Ter Laak Orchids from Holland who operate near Santa Barbara and other agri business folks and just capital ventures often those who own dispensary chains though most dispensaries buy contract weed too. I’ve visited a lot of grows and have yet to see one owned by RJR or Philip Morris ..not one. Canada had or has Canopy Growth which is in trouble since the USA production model is so vast now.

American agriculture businesses are still leery frankly though I have been to a large Colorado operation where ADM and BUNGE were there doing tech recon for perhaps future plans

The Dutch as expected do the best of any large ops I’ve witnessed like 150 acre green houses and light dep operations

That’s the state of the weed boy now

The rest is Mexican cheap weed gets in but nobody wants it that I know of. It costs 20% of high grade ...slightly better than old Colombian. A new player on the supply market is actually CBD weed that got out of hand and the THCA percentage got too high like 10-12% ...it’s cheap and folks trust it’s sourcing more than New Gen cartel weed so they buy the disqualified CBD weed for cheap like 100/pound and make concentrates...exponential profits

The CBD biz did just like I feared ...mushroomed and imploded ...can give it away..and I had acreage and tags and just passed on it

Folks were counting that money.....120,000 profit per acre and so little work

Wrong on both counts...richest weed growers I know work like farmers ...hard

By the time Trump leaves office it’ll be legal everywhere pretty much when he decrims federally and then I think big agro and maybe big tobacco will jump in and indeed matter a lot...

One caveat large scale weed ops indoor are hard ...nest results are climates that allow long or continuous growing seasons

I’ve seen a 100,000 sq foot warehouse in Arvada with 10,000 nice lights tween veg and flowering units lose huge harvest from mites, mold and bud rot

Call in the best horticulture guys from places Hawaii or Bellingrath gardens or Disneyworld and to no avail

Chop it all down and start over...millions lost and spent

That’s something yet to mastered in indoor

Anyhow ..I’m not arguing just informing...like I said I’m what you call a professional so don’t try this at home

PS
Both RJR and Philip Morris have ventured into the Canadian weed production market and ....failed...which might explain their hesitation here to jump in large...plus Cargill and ADM are in my view better suited...as are large ag co ops like Wheat Growers in SD or Cotton farmers in California or Arizona and the few independents left in the Mississippi delta

But indoor weed is again a whole other animal from row crops
