Next Flu season I want a counter running on all the networks and cable news ops on how many succumb when struck by the flu bug.
It will top 40 or 50 thousand EVERY single year.

You have a really good point! Fauci couldn’t have a “control group” as they might do as well, or close to, his draconian mitigation lockdowns, because that would wreck his theory.
Yet Sweden, and Iowa, etc. are close to a control group to compare against! And they didn’t have societal collapse, as predicted. Not perfect placebo, more like semi-placebo. But still, they didn’t collapse.

The genesis for all of this was the fear that a massive surge in patients needing hospitalization would crash the system.
It did not happen in New York, with a huge population and a worst-case scenario.
Therefore logic dictates that it is unlikely to happen anyplace else.
Exactly! As long as the treatment systems don’t completely crash, the “area under the curve” will be the same unless a fast cure is found. Meaning, same amounts of deaths, just more now, or more later.
But tradeoff is economic damage. That is completely time dependent. Economic damage = Lockdown severity.
The medical (and FDA) term used these days to judge treatment costs against patient patient effects is “Quality Of Life.” (QOL) It’s a real term, used often.
How much QOL will a patient gain or lose with a given treatment, and at what dollar cost?
The entire QOL of America is just starting to go down. But the damage has inertia. It’s like radiation poisoning. You feel fine at first, then slowly the damage sets in, followed by rapid, unstoppable, spiraling.
