I believe she was originally charged, but not arrested. Charges were dropped pre-trial without any sort of plea-deal. My opinion is that the DA and the officers acted appropriately with what they were originally faced with: a drunken brawl death.
Good point!
A screwdriver beats hot sauce.
Exactly what I was going to post. Once you are an adult, every fight is a life or death struggle. If someone attacks you, you do whatever is required to defend yourself and your loved ones. "Going home to your family at night" isn't only for cops.
I agree.
Hold up? I’d have used a .40 instead of a screwdriver, but you use what you’ve got.
That’s two miles north of me.
See Deuteronomy 25.11: if two men are fighting and the wife of one of them grabs the other man by his "twins," her hand should be cut off.
Moses meant business.
Good job. Better than those ones that just stand there and scream. She sounds like a keeper.
Just treat her right though.
You’re making that story up. I -cannot- imagine anyone would ever attack a nice guy like you... /s
Whats her FR nick?
Standing by my man!
It was probably a Phillips as these sort of incidents
are uncommon.
Yup...I was getting pummeled in high school by this older kid. I grabbed one of those old metal radio antennas off the back of a car (it was the 1980s) and shredded this kid up & down his body. The thing was like a metal whip. Did not stop until he was curled up in the fetal position whimpering.
The kid never looked at me sideways again when we passed by each other in the school corridor.
As to self defense weapons, I used to pal with a
guy who owned a junk yard and who disposed of various
confiscated weapons for the police dept of our city.
You wouldn’t believe it but screwdrivers were common
as were BBQ forks, ice picks etc.
That was one reason women wore hats on public transport.
a 8” hat pin is a terrible thing.
Tire tools, car antennas.
Rumble at the Zesto, Fri after the sock hop.
It’s survival...I grew up in a difficult neighborhood.
Who knew a woman knew how to use a screwdriver?
There are times, that besides being smart, my wife can be very devious.
About 3 decades ago she gave me a twelve piece Miller screw driver set with both Phillips and regular screwdrivers in a case with a hand rachet which attaches to the back of the Screwdrivers to really drive the screws in.
Then, about years ago she bought me a De Walt driver with 3 rechargeable batteries and a tool bag filled with screw heads and other screw driving attachments.
She keeps these tools on her side of the tool closet, so I can’t misplace them.
When one or both sets end up in my Lazy Boy chair, I know that she has a project in mind.
I’m amazed at how fast the De Walt driver and the appropriate screw head can put in a screw or remove them.
I'm sure she did.......
