Mexico's Grupo Modelo said on Thursday it will temporarily stop brewing Corona beer and other brands exported to 180 countries after its business activities were declared non-essential under a government order aimed at curbing the spread of the coronavirus.
The Mexican government this week declared a health emergency and ordered the suspension of non-essential activities after the number of coronavirus cases in the country surpassed 1,000. On Thursday, it reported 1,510 cases and 50 deaths.
The brewer said in a statement that the suspension will go into place from Sunday

I would say it’s pretty non-essential at all times, not just during this virus
At first people were all like, “I’m gonna get me some Corona and take pictures with it, I got the Corona! LOL”
And then, all of a sudden, they were like, “Yeah, it’s not really that funny, and maybe I can get it that way, I dunno”

I stopped taking Ayds candy in the early 80s.
I was watching an abandoned storage unit video on YouTube, as the buyer of the unit goes through the boxes and items before loading them up. He points to one case and says “Oh, I know what this is - it’s an old typewriter from the 40s or 50s”. He opens the top, and it’s a typewriter all right - a Corona!

Nobody wants Ayds and Corona these days. Can’t say that I blame they for avoiding products with names of deadly diseases. As an aside I had a former business associate of mine whose grand daughter was named Isis. I am wondering what she is call herself now.
I grew up on Budweiser. I even invested in a college based corporation that developed a vending machine to dispense bottles of Bud.
However somewhere around 70, I discovered Corona and found it to be superior. Around 74 0r 75, I learned of Coronita, 7.5 oz bottles.
Corona is good beer
Indeed no place to go except up.
