Amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has issued a directive restricting the sale and distribution of "hydroxychloroquine" declaring it as an essential drug to treat the COVID-19 patients and meet the requirements of emergency arising due to the pandemic.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Thursday made the announcement making it clear that the order "shall come into force on the date of its publication in the official Gazette".

In the order, the government declared that the Central government is "satisfied that the drug hydroxychloroquine is essential to meet the requirements of emergency arising due to pandemic COVID-19 and in the public interest, it is necessary and expedient to regulate and restrict the sale and distribution of the drug ''hydroxychloroquine'' and preparation based thereon for preventing their misuse".

It’s a fairly common drug that’s been around for decades. The US has it. You just have Democrats moonlighting as health experts and tyrants because Orange Man Bad and the more people that die or suffer, the more they can stoke fear in people.

I can't speak to what the intentions are in those shriveled black clinkers they call their hearts, only they and God can know that.

But I can notice that their behavior is indistinguishably from what it would be if they wanted most of us to die gasping for our last breath in our own flooded lungs.

He did not. He made it illegal for doctors to prescribe it off-book. Because doctors were prescribing it to their family and friends who didn’t even have the disease, and depleting the stocks so that people actively ON the drugs couldn’t get them.

His order explicitly allows prescriptions if you are IN THE HOSPITAL, which is where right now we need to focus. Later on, it may be the case we all will go on a 3-month low-dose of this because it seems to prevent picking up a serious case of COVID, but THAT will require some real testing.

In the meantime, we want to have enough for the Lupus patients, and for people in hospitals, and for the trials.
