Authorities say a drunk woman survived being hit by a slow-moving train after she partially fell asleep on the tracks Tuesday morning.
Authorities say they found the woman near the tracks at 4:45 a.m. near Washington Avenue on Dixie Highway.
Fire officials say the woman was hit by a slow-moving train in Lake Worth Beach. Authorities say she does not have life-threatening injuries. It is not immediately clear which rail line was involved.
Officials did not immediately release additional details.
“When you’re drunk, you can fall and not get hurt, you just go limp and your body absorbs the impact. That’s how Gary Busey was able tovdo all his own stunts.” /american dad
“Partially fell asleep on the tracks”
I know what was meant, but that sure. Isn’t what ended up in the article. I guess that’s what passes as journalism these days. Sad thing is they’ll read that account all day and never see a single thing wrong.
Yeah, that's the ticket! When I drink a fifth of scotch and fall into a semi-comatose state on some train tracks, I'm not a hopeless drunk who passed out - I "fell partially asleep."
Genius!
Regards,
As I learned after a long career in law enforcement- drunk people bounce.

I never though train tracks looked particularly comfortable.
Engineer #1 to Engineer #2: Did you hear a thump ?
I hate when I’m sleeping and a train runs over me.

What is it with drunk people surviving? You read about a DWI car crash, everyone gets killed except who?
Florida Woman.
Everyone always has a great drinking story...
Now she does too.
True. Most of us can only say, This hangover sucks. I feel like I was run over by a train. She gets to say she actually was.
