My super active 70 year old mom just spent 10 days on a ventilator from ARDS. They said it was flu that caused it, but either way ARDS is awful to watch, much less experience. My mom made it through but she will never be the same. She’s in assisted living now and will be on a walker the rest of her life.
As for me, I blew out of NYC with the wife and kids and we are riding out the storm in New Hampshire. I do not want to tangle with ARDS
If the Respiratory Distress was so recent how is it known how much she may improve. Couldn’t she get back to walking normally?
