Not that I am an expert, but I cannot make much of this passage. I tried to access the orig article but it requires taking cookies, which I try to avoid. I read the 'page source' (incl HTML) which makes following the text a challenge.
The operant Hebrew word that I find is Strong's #5596 CaPHaCh (ne'e~sefat) from a root 'to scrape out', extended to 'abiding, gather together'. The word ends in Cheth, not Teth or Tau.
If Genesis 6:15 is the reference, I do not find the word in the passage in the Masoretic text. I do not know the early Semitic roots of the word. Of course I could be in the wrong ball park.
I note the orig article refers to the ridiculous theory that the pyramid represents the primeval mound. Ridiculous rather adequately describes this whole article's theory.
