The only person who has said he will fix the economy and then actually did it was President Trump.

If things are still bad, he will have even more votes than he would have if the economy recovered.

“I would hope the base is educated enough to know an act of God.”

Everyone but the hard-core Democrat politician knows that.

And Act of God is not held against the King.

Yep.. I started preparing for this in mid-January. I even have yucky powdered milk if I run out of fresh. Wish I lived on a farm!

Per KSTP-TV in Minneapolis-St Paul, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases (in Minnesota) has risen to 54 - up 19 from yesterday.

https://www.kstp.com/coronavirus/minnesota-department-health-confirms-19-more-positive-tests-for-covid-19-total-up-to-54-coronavirus-outbreak/5675574/?cat=1

At least three of the 54 cases fall into the community spread category.

At last check (yesterday evening), none of the cases were in the hospital. That may have changed.

The total number of tests administered as of now has been about 1900.

Have plans to go to Beijing?

Are you a human being from somewhere other than Beijing?

You will need to plan on a 14 day quarantine at your own expense. Centralized quarantine locations. Starts at midnight tonight.

There is a lot of misinformation out there, both overstating the problem and understating it.

Public officials have pivoted back and forth between trying not to cause panic and then trying to get people to change their behavior.

That has caused a lot of confusion.

Folks here have been studying and debating all aspects of this for several weeks, but most people out there have not.

They have notified our office they are all exposed. I am a full time telecommuter and I did not drive in last week. Total of 30 coworkers are waiting to see if the other coworker is infected.

Sorry to hear that ...what part of the country?

he told us to relax on food/non-perishables and durables because there is plenty. and that’s true. But, it’s like telling a woman to “calm down.” Good luck with that.

Doug:

The numbers can tell you the story.

If the virus was allowed to work its will uninterrupted it would take a month and a half to infect anyone that could be infected.

To the extent social distancing slows that down, it will take longer.

At this point my guess is that the school year is over for this year.

How much more can they take?

Those that survive are going to be traumatized to a certain extent. Health care workers will end up with PTSD.
