Keyboards are 15 bucks and surprisingly easy to swap out. Check YouTube for the brand you have. I’ve done several.

Just go in wearing a surgical mask and coughing, blow the safe and help yourself.

YES. And use it as an excuse to pull your child out.

She’s only halfway through. She wants to learn what the instructor can teach her, not simply to get credit.

Who’s forcing anyone? If someone is that concerned they can voluntarily take their “child” out of school.

One of the kids in the Church Daycare Center is nearly four years and not potty trained yet. Went to the doctor for extensive testing this week. We’ll see...

That’s a pretty rare case. Yeah, some labs can’t be done that way. What is the school’s solution? Will they aim to finish that sort of class in the summer?

And why is woodworking a college class at all? Is your daughter also taking basketweaving?

Decades ago, a friend of mine (who is an African-American boomer with a Harvard MBA) told me that he hoped that computers would level the playing field between educational opportunities in urban vs. suburban areas. Sadly, I don't think that happened. I had hoped that it would improve access to educational resources in rural America. But without good teachers, computers are just another game or access to better porn.

My son did a high school class online from the state U and had to be proctored at the public library by the head librarian when he took his mid-term and final. Are these online students going to take online exams in exam centers or will anything be "good enough", given that this is an emergency situation? Are parents going to have to sue to get back money for unused meal cards and empty dorm rooms? And, as always, what is the mortality risk of young people at home partying with friends throughout the week rather than just weekends? What are the risks of unsupervised children at home during the day rather than at school? Is the risk of this virus really work upending society?

Really? We’re supposed to be concerned that young supposed adults will hurt themselves if they aren’t on campus?

one person in the lunch room assembly line serving 1000 children a day think of the damage they could do even not knowing they are infected.

In our country, if they don’t shut down and 1 person dies or is injured -.or gets the Wuhan virus and transmits it to a person who dies... the university will be sued.

I agree that there are an overabundance of lawsuits filed in general, and universities with their deep pockets are convenient targets for plaintiff attorneys on a wide variety of issues. That's why they have legal departments working for them whether they are open or closed.

So there are always legal risks for them, and in particular, there will always be some communicable diseases spread among closely quartered college students. It just comes with the territory.

From what we know now, the Wuhan virus is no more dangerous to the college student population than, say, influenza, and colleges do not shut their doors completely when a few cases of the flu occur on campus. These college shutdowns for this overblown coronavirus phobia are manifestations of the "snowflake" mentality so prevalent in left-leaning thinking.

..

Attorney to University President:

“Did you know that the POTUS declared a National State of Emergency?”
“That countries around the world closed their borders?”
“That the NBA, NHL, etc. ended their seasons?”
“That France, Spain, Italy imposed mandatory quarantines on their entire populations??”
“That leading medical experts consulted all these groups and recommended closing?”
That schools across the country at every level closed they’re doors??”

Tell, me Mr, University President, on what basis did you assume you knew more than these groups??”

University President: “A handful of people of FreeRepublic said it was just the flu!!”

Jury: “on the charge of endangering students health and lives, we find the University guilty.”

Simple as that.
