Zip ties are quicker, cut when the person struggles, and are very useful.
550 cord cuffs are not noticed by Homeland Security during scans.

Yeah but with duct tape you can just tape him to his seat AND tape his mouth shut.
Also Duct tape is the single most useful thing you can take on a trip. I’ve fixed luggage with it, shoes, taped my phone to the dash of a car, taped the curtains shut to keep light out etc etc etc.....
