recently The Donald a Subreddit of the social networking site Reddit had its moderators removed and had the site taken over by libral operative. I figured that by word of mouth some of those now might be looking for a place that represents conservative values where they can share info might bewander into this site. if you have please to have you here please intro duce yourself...
What a train wreck.
Is there no way to undo the takeover? Legal options? I know they take time, but isn’t an injunction possible? This sounds more than unethical.
Private website, which can do whatever they want.
Reddit is pining for the fiords.
The new site is TheDonald.win
FR can’t do whatever it wants.
Reddit promotes itself as open to all... and gets protections from a lot of the copyright drama FR has to comply with as FR is treated as a publisher... Reddit simply a utility.
This also allows Reddit to have horrible things on forums that you would never want to see... while effectively silencing conservatives on The Donald.
No, Jim can delete any content or person he wants from FR. It is his property as he wants.
totally agree with Jim being able to delete content. if he did not do it this place would devolve into something else. I feel he protects the integrity of free republic and makes this place a go to place in the mornings or evenings when I am curies about the days happenings
Yes. Jim can... Jim never promoted the site otherwise.
Reddit has two sets of standards... when they get sued they run to the court and claim they are like the phone company and they allow everyone a free speech platform.
Thats clearly no so.
