No one talks about Jihadi Suiciders bringing the coronavirus to the west. Certainly everyone is thinking about it?
My first thought on Trump’s most recent travel ban was that it might at least make it more difficult to bring the virus in.
During WWI the Germans had people spreading Hoof and Mouth among the US horses sent over. The government knew they were losing a significant number horses but didn’t know why until after the war. The Japanese were delivering infected animals to the parts of China they didn’t hold in the hopes of spreading contagion. In ancient times corpses of people who had died from disease were launched over city walls with catapults.
Disease has always played a role in warfare and the Jihadists are conducting a war.
My first paranoid thought is the Chinese must be on a crash course to infect us, bring us down to their level.
That might explain the virus popping up in Iran. Some of their terrorists may have accidentally spread it there on the way to U.S.. You’d have to be certifiably insane to plot something like this.
If so, it’s likely not just the ChiComs.
I thought jihadi suiciders were interested in something much more lethal. Corona kills probably less than 1 percent of those it infects, no?
Or desperate.
Only the paper money needs to be juiced. 100,000 one dollar bills and it’s over.
There is nothing jihadi suiciders can do that is not already going to happen naturally.
This thing is coming. There is no way to stop it. You could slam closed every port, airport, spaceport, and carport, and it is still going to get here.
Once it is out in the population, it is going to do what it is going to do.

Now why did you go and have to say that?
1.It’s not lethal enough
2. Unless you already live in a ‘western country’ and/or have a passport for one, you can’t just get on a plane to go the U.S.. You need to apply for a visa to get here and that could takes weeks or months depending.
Look at the bright side. In 6 weeks the Rats will be screaming to impeach Trump because he hasn’t sealed the borders. Rats are like seniors with dementia. That can’t remember what they were enraged about yesterday.
I think President Trump should appoint Chuck Schumer to oversee the coronavirus outbreak.
I think it is about disruption, death from a thousand cuts.
People have been weighing in with their opinions. My wife tells me her friends want to know my opinion. Hell, I am a (retired) doctor and I don’t know yet what to make of it. A virus usually “attenuates” with passage. So you could expect this virus to become progressively more benign with passage. That said, so part of that process probably requires an interaction with the human immune system. They say this virus doesn’t provoke much of an immune response. So it may be already acting in unanticipated ways. Spring is coming. If this is essentially a “flu” (and it is, respiratory droplet and finite transmission, pneumonia the pathological mechanism of death) then it should abate with Spring.
We are still in the phase where new communities are reporting single and double digits. Far to early to say anything.
All the more reason to go to a cashless society...
Cashless? How do you pay hookers and bookies?
Agreed it could appear to abate in the spring/summer. But then roar back in the autumn. Didn’t the Spanish Flu do something similar?
