A New York City man who’s now been arrested 139 times thanked Democrats for guaranteeing his immediate release despite repeatedly swiping hundreds of dollars from unsuspecting subway commuters since the state’s new bail reform law went into effect Jan. 1.

THIS should be a blasting clarion call alerting us to the dangers of unbridled dummocraps who have no checks and balances controlling their utter insanity. People have been assaulted, robbed and KILLED as a direct result of this insane new law of turning arrested criminals loose without bail immediately upon arrest. How could this not have been anticipated to vastly increase crime? Based on a bunch of racist low IQ NY State Assembly members, who think bail unfairly impacts "poor people, especially those of color". Giving criminals such a carte blanche to go and commit every sort of assault against society, be arrested, turned loose, and then commit the same crimes again, repeatedly--how can this not be interpreted by anyone with an IQ above room temperature as insanity? Why is this insane law being hemmed and hawed about in NY instead of immediately repealed in the interests of public safety?

This should be a BIG WARNING to the destruction of law and order in the U.S. so that we become Sweden. Cuomo is clearly mentally disturbed as are the members of the NY State Assembly, and should be removed by any means possible to preserve the lives of law abiding people. Even people in surrounding states are now becoming victims of criminals released under this insane law.

““Bail reform, it’s lit!” Barry yelled to reporters Thursday outside the NYPD Transit District 1 headquarters in the Columbus Circle station before officers transported him to Manhattan Central Booking. “It’s the Democrats! The Democrats know me and the Republicans fear me. You can’t touch me! I can’t be stopped!”

Thank you, Democrats.

I’m actually rooting for the guy. I hope his 139 arrest count is up to 1,390 by the end of the year.

He’ll be even happier when NY makes it legal to steal ‘up to, but not more than’ $2000 from people-

At some point, real Americans will recall some old movies and find inspiration in Paul Kersey. I’m not saying it’s the right answer, just that we have delegated some of our authority to government. When government fails to use that authority properly, some decent people will take up the mantle that they had hoped to delegate to others. Those basic God-given rights are unalienable. The American people can hand the associated authority off to government, but we still retain that responsibility and that power as individuals.

New York City has been a leftist, totalitarian dump for decades. The voters in that place are getting what they wanted — in spades.

Like I said before ... I’m rooting for this guy. I hope hardened criminals all over the U.S. see how good they can have it in NYC. It should make peoples’ lives better everywhere else.

If he is getting caught 139 times, he’s not very good at what he is doing; he should consider changing careers.

On the other hand, if he’s been caught 139 times, how many times did he get away with it?

It’s pathetic that the police would even waste their time arresting him 139 times.

So much for Romans 13.

For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil...if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

Note that the sword was not merely ornamental. It was an instrument of death. Communities that wink at, or even applaud, crime are in rebellion to God.

“Mr. Barry’s case underscores the need for economic stability and meaningful social services, not a need to roll back bail reform,” the society said in a statement. “Locking up Mr. Barry on unaffordable bail or worse, remanding without bail, ultimately does nothing to protect the public and fails entirely to address his actual needs.”

I see that the myth poverty causes crime is still in vogue in NYC.

I and plenty of people I know grew up poor and in poor neighborhoods but did not go on to a life of crime.

Excessive bail has been illegal for a long time. Locking up Mr. Barry would prevent him from robbing people while he is in jail. He has bragged that “I’m famous! I take $200, $300 a day of your money, cr****r! You can’t stop me!

He robs people of $200 to $300 a day, every day. Is this the quality of life that New Yorkers want? Do New Yorkers want someone like this on their streets?

Bail is insurance that the accused will show up for court. This man has demonstrated that he WILL NOT show up for court. This means that his victims will not receive justice and he will go on to commit more crimes for which he will not be punished.

This law can only insure that more and more New Yorkers will flee the state for more civilized locals.

I would like to learn how this is affecting NYC tourism.

I live in CT, and have yet to visit the WTC memorial or the Statue of Liberty. I’ve had plans to do this as late as last summer.

I won’t go now...I’d get robbed and have no recourse. Thieves must be swarming the tourist areas

Who woulda thought! That also seem to be the mantra of violent criminals who too are thankful of the no bail policy.

"It’s pathetic that the police would even waste their time arresting him 139 times."

They probably have pre-printed forms for this guy, so all they have to do is fill in the pertinent details each time he's arrested. :-)
