I got up to 18.4 right before surgery, so my surgeon was very worried.

Good news! Had a cancer surgery in Dallas myself last week. Waiting on pathology isn’t great, but we are in a good area for this kind of stuff.

I did the radiation treatment 2 yrs ago for the same issue. Glad you’re on the mend. The results your getting is pretty close to mine. We’re on the right side of the grass. Stay well! Be Safe!

Yes, I got that T-shirt a few years back. Keep getting the PSA tests.
I tell people that it is a strange disease. In my case I had absolutely no symptoms and never really felt bad, but the PSA test caught it. That’s the test that the Obama HHS dept wanted to cut back on. The first week after surgery was unpleasant, going around with a catheter is absolutely no fun at all.
And it is a condition that does not solicit the sympathy from women that one would hope. The indignity of having to wear a pad...nope, no sympathy at all. “You don’t know what it’s like to occasionally squirt”, same reaction.

Congratulations. Since I had the choice, I opted for HDR radiation. I didn’t think I could deal with the recovery from surgery. PSA is on the way down.
