Several other words of advice. Diet is critical. You can’t just continue on the same path that lead you to this diagnosis; change is a given.
Stop smoking if you haven’t. All tobacco products, including oral.
Examine your daily life for toxins which you might be taking into your body. Even seemingly benign products you’ve been using for decades could be suspect. Don’t take the FDA’s word for anything. They don’t know squat.
I’m a prostate cancer survivor (just past 6 months) so I can somewhat commiserate. Lost 11 lbs through diet so far.

I will add you to the list of prayers. The thing is that you KNOW and the docs will keep a very close eye on you. If you think about it, you are in a good place for a bad situation.
Chemo sucks, but through round eight, my wife has only gotten sick once. Cancer treatment is not like it was 10 years ago....or even 5.

I know that one, for sure, was treated at MD, in Houston.

Hang in there, they have made huge advances in treating this kind of cancer.
On Dec. 12th, I celebrated 39 years of being cancer-free. I had metastatic malignant melanoma and was given a 15% of living 2 years. I ended up doing 18 months of chemo, some radiation and immunotherapy. Every day for me is gravy. I’m about to go over and watch my 2 year old granddaughter! I’ll be praying for you! Now, catch up!

My mother had three cancers, uterine starting in her late sixties. Each was pernicious and easily spread. She had a mastectomy in her early 70’s and a bunch of cancerous lymph nodes removed in her late 80’s. She died recently at 102. The survival rate on cancer, even bad ones, is way higher now than it was back then.
I hope you do as well as her.
