Kobe Bryant died in a helicoper crash in Calabasas Sunday morning ... TMZ Sports has confirmed.
Kobe was traveling with at least 3 other people in his private helicopter when it went down. A fire broke out. Emergency personnel responded, but nobody on board survived. 5 people are confirmed dead. We're told Vanessa Bryant was not among those on board.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.

KNX has had a couple of “ear” witnesses on. One being a pilot. They could hear the helicopter flying overhead but the fog was so thick and the cloud cover so low they couldn’t see it. Didn’t sound like it had engine trouble to them. Just sounded loud like it was flying very low.

Wasn’t there a football player who was badly injured in a car crash last week. I always thought that these athletes had clauses in their contracts forbidding them to do things like ride on motorcycles. I know this didn’t apply here.

No it’s not! Just like movie or tv stars, some athletes are among those people grew up watching as teens or formative years of their lives and was and is a part of their life as far as memories. You may not like sports or basketball but millions do and root for teams and players and , they’ve been doing that for thousands of years even back in Greek forerunning of the Olympics and Roman gladiators or chariot racers. I never will forget when Andy Griffin died years ago and although he was a Democrat and loved obama many Freepers were distraught because they grew up watching the show as kids
