He not only hated the Jackson movies he prevented sequels based on the other books. I was surprised to learn he agreed to a deal for a series based on another Middle Earth age.

Visually I think the Peter Jackson LotR
nailed it. The acting was very good as well. Character motivation, they screwed up. And don’t even let me get started on Arwen. Every time she showed up I found an excuse to leave the room.
