Don’t assume maliciousness when incompetence will do.

When I was in Vietnam about 1 out of 4 packages our families sent us never showed up. No. You can’t trust the post office.

Always count them before you leave the store.

In my discussion with the Post Master
it was suggested I should have stepped to the side when I purchased the stamps, opened the package, and counted the stamps before leaving. I was also required to show my receipt for the stamps from 2016, which I cannot produce.
Are there mandatory IQ tests for employment?

My wife was complaining that once again, our local post office doesn’t have any stamps to sell.
One year around Christmas, they gave her Kwaanza stamps because they said that was all they had.
They didn’t really know how to handle my demand for a refund.

Literacy not required. I wonder who got my mail this week?

Don't step aside. Don't accept the sealed package. Politely ask the postal clerk to count the stamps out to you one at a time prior to paying. Do this once or twice and soon enough they will refuse at which time you whip out your "We Trust You To Count The Stamps Later" agreement which guarantees that they accept your count of the stamps. Make the postmaster sign or count.
Technically they have to be able to sell you a single stamp at a time.

ALSO, did you know that the post office must pay a percentage and a per transaction fee for every credit card charge they process?
I'd like one stamp please ... put it on my visa.
Oh I'd like another stamp please ... put it on my visa.
Lather rinse repeat 100 times.

Are there mandatory IQ tests for employment? Possibly, with a fairly low maximum acceptable score.

I’ve gotten stiffed by one or two prescription pills in a bottle of 90 from the large grocery chain pharmacy, from not counting them on site. At $1.50 per pill, this makes a nice little scam for the pharmacy tech or whomever is responsible.

Are there mandatory IQ tests for employment? Have you been to the Post Office lately?
It's pretty much nothing more than a federal jobs program for a certain demographic providing excellent pay and benefits, little work required.

"When I was in Vietnam about 1 out of 4 packages our families sent us never showed up. No. You cant trust the post office." You won't believe the pillage that goes on with goods in transit.
I was on a merchant ship (1966) delivering PX supplies to the Vietnam war zone. Upon arrival, it was discovered that approximately 25% of the goods were missing.

My new postman has purple hair and a stick to get the packages he can’t reach in his mail jeep without getting off his fat butt.
At least he is working.

Today four bubble wrap envelopes arrived in the mail. These all have tracking numbers and a tracking history.
The date on three of the four package is from last year: 02/07/2019, 4/29/2019 and 6/20/2019.
These three packages have all been cut open along the edges and the contents have been removed.
