I listened to him once 20 years on the very strong recommendation of a friend who loved the show. I found the program suffered from what I thought was a fatal flaw for a comedy show, it was not the least bit funny!
Speaking of talk radio.
One of the reasons I stopped listening to Stern was that we got a sports radio station here in Dallas called “The Ticket”. It basically took the good parts of what Stern did, and built it around sports, althought there was a lot of “guy talk” stuff, not necessarily related to sports.
I am talking about this, because as, I found out today while driving home, one of the great talk show hosts, Mike Rhyner of The Hardline announced his retirement. For years, they were a part of my many drives home from work. It’s not going to be the same.
Stay Hard, Mike!
The Greaseman ROCKS!!
I guess Stern didn’t get to rub elbows much with the elite during his stint on America’s Got Talent. It was obvious though that New Yorkers loved him. Stern did a good job as a judge on the show and seemed to be sincere. Rather see him stay on AGT as Simon Cowell is terrible, and a total jerk.
