essentially a gun porn vanity, but it's a good review of how to use a scoped rifle to actually hit what you want to.

Thank you.
Folks tend to focus on breathing and trigger, but for me, pulse bump at 600 yards plus is a real issue. Learning to employ a natural point of aim is huge as well, because unless you are just an absolute ace, shooting off the natural aim point will cause muscle induced error.
At 600 yards and over you really have to learn to judge that brief interval where the wind is falling and your heart is in between beats.
I’m confused. Is there supposed to be a rifle in the picture?
Well, this thread WAS described as ‘gun porn,’ so thanks for the nifty pic.
...and those are just .22s. I have fired in 1,000 yard matches with my .223 space gun.
Take an Appleseed course.
They are offered in every State.
this thread is YOURS
That’s certainly true, but these instructions are easily understood by ‘everyman’ and an appleseed course is miles away, and I frequently offered, even for me in rural N Ga.
Plus you can do all this with dry fire.

“but for me, pulse bump at 600 yards plus is a real issue”
It’s frustrating that holding your breath amplifies pulse bump.
There are thousands of men that have an old .06 or .270 or some other caliber in the safe that they have not shot for the last decade or more.
Usually because they can’t get better than a 2in group with it. And yes, some rifles shoot that bad. It’s the natural state of lightweight hunting rifles.
For those who do not already know: Change the bullet weight. Go from 165gr to 180gr, or from 145 to 160 etc. Try every weight available for your caliber.
I have seen the $259 Savage from Walmart in 30.06 go from a 2in group using 165gr to .6in by shifting to 180gr.
And it’s one of the reasons I prefer .30cal. There are more bullet weights and types available than any other caliber. And particularly 30.06 where all those different weights are available on the shelf, today. From 150 to 220gr and all points in between.
Therefore EVERY modern bolt action rifle available today can shoot sub MOA out of the box.
If yours does not, it’s because you have a stubborn affinity for a particular bullet weight.
It helps to slow the rate just a little, but enough.
Appleseed,,,

It wore me Out!
