The person who paid the $120,000 is Biden-stupid. Except that he’s counting on future buyers being dumber than Biden. And he’s probably right.

And there are artists at that show who have worked months to get their pieces done. And this clown and his cohorts make a mockery of it.

A true art aficionado would know that bananas are blasé.

Turnips are art.

He was just disarming the sculpture.

A true art aficionado would know that bananas are blasé.

Turnips are art.

Some might say the potato is the most proletarian of vegetables, but the turnip is truly the most woke proletarian vegetable of all. Humble. Grows in the Earth, and is obviously more connected to Gaia than banana; perched way up “above it all”, out of touch.

People actually like bananas. Even babies like bananas. Turnips, on the other hand, are merely tolerated as a vegetable. No one is even sure they’re good for you. Turnips are just there. Unassuming, bland, without pretense.

Bananas Foster. Banana splits. Banana cream pie. The banana reeks of pretense and bourgeois attitude! “Turnip cream eclairs”, said no one, ever! Now there is a vegetable you eat, not because you want to, but because you have to. The buffet has run out of every other vegetable, leaving you no choice. It is the vegetable that’s left when even the Brussel sprouts are gone. Could their be a more fit example of the socialist model?

Searching For Clues was exhibited in the Hirschorn Museum and was offered at $85K.

I visited the Hirshhorn Museum in October. The exhibits included a diorama entitled "Pickett's Charge," which consisted of parallel streaks of paint smeared along the wall of the circular building. There was also an exhibit entitled "color wheel," which consisted of paint splotches of various colors splattered on the wall. Other than a curiosity entitled "Video Flag," an American flag made up of flashing video monitors, I thought the exhibits were ugly and pure garbage.

Supposing the banana was still part of the “art” and we fast forward a year later...

Did you mean “passe?”

“blasse” means apathetic.

I have not been to the Hirschorn in many years but in past times I made several visits. It is one of my favorites on the mall. I learned to eat bagles with cream cheese there

Another sculpture I remember was a to full scale Popsicle carved from white marble with authentic wooden sticks.

For sure there is some very weird stuff exhibited but in the permanent displays and the outside sculpture, there is real art worth viewing

I taped a banana to the wall with duct tape in the back room of the store I work. It was stolen within the hour.

I found the second artists work more appealing.

Whoever paid for this idiocy is really the stupid one. He bought a banana plus duct tape, deluding himself into thinking that he had bought a work of art.

The smart one is the one who spent 50 cents to tape a banana to a canvas and then sold it to some idiot for $120,000.

The bite was taken before security noticed the second artist slipped into the exhibit like a banana spider on skates.

I suspect this 120K banana art was a hoax from the get go.
