I liken it to a gum wrapper is stuck to his shoe. The wrapper, unbeknownst to Mr Trump, comes unstuck. The Democrats seize the opportunity to charge littering. Trump declares his innocence, and the Democrats accuse him of lying about the crime. They ask him for all documents relating to the offense, including the gum wrapper. Trump cannot produce the gum wrapper, so on top of all the other crimes, the Democrats add obstruction of justice.

The media gets involved, declaring that the web of deceit continues to expand. When a secret service agent signs a statement that he picked up the offending wrapper, charges of collusion ensue. No one is above the law, says the Speaker, and the whole episode is said to be an existential threat to the Constitution.
