She asked him on her show and he agreed. They sent paperwork on which he was supposed to say all the things he admired about her, etc.

Yes. Award from NAACP in 2011. Has a very cute dark skinned granddaughter now. Gave big bucks to tons of Detroit charities supporting black communities. Not even close to racist.

Do the kids still call them albums?

We might as well still call them albums. Having just recently learned where the term “album“ originated from, I can tell you that the term as far as music goes, has been outdated way longer than anyone would have thought.

I recall the very first time I heard of a compact disc, it was about 1981...pretty long time ago. If I recall correctly, they were about $25 at the time, a pretty tidy sum at the time, about 2x the cost of vinyl. The CD is truly one of the great inventions of our time, 8 track, cassette and vinyl all got replaced by CD.

Trying to get some notoriety is the only explanation I can think of.

If you watch the original video you’ll see it’s nothing as complicated as that. The dude was simply lit. That’s all. I watched the original video on blabbermouth and it was glorious. Except there was some really annoying triggered snowflake chick that could be heard in the video talking over Kid Rock and she was really grating my nerves.

Another foul-mouthed celebrity. Yawn...

Another easily triggered, snowflake freeper who can’t handle the “potty language”. Boo-hoo!

I got my first CD player and first CD in 1986 for my 16th birthday. I still have that CD and it still plays perfectly. I could pop it in right now and listen to it. Of course, there’s no point to that since I have Apple Music and I can just pull it up on my phone. LOL! But every once in a while I play my 30-year-old CDs just to make sure they’re still playing perfectly and they all do. I still have every CD I’ve ever owned and as far as I know they still all play perfectly.

OK OK.! I was just waiting for someone to chime in with the correct answer. LOL! So here it is. Back in the early days of vinyl music. We’re talking early 20th century, vinyl records played at 78 RPM. In those days they could only fit one song on a side of vinyl. So if an artist was going to release a “album” of 10 songs it had to be sold in a five record set. Those five records were sold in an .....are you ready for it? Are you ready? You’re not gonna believe it. An ALBUM!!!!

So you see, once they were able to fit 10 songs on one record, the word album became obsolete but we kept using it. So why not keep using it for digital downloads? Makes about as much sense.
