Comedian Tim Allen took aim at political correctness in his field, lamenting the fact that he has to accommodate the "thought police" when speaking to big arenas.
"What I got to do sometimes is explain -- which I hate -- in big arenas, that this is a thought police thing, and I do not like it. But when I use these words, this is my intent behind those words," he told "The View" on Monday.
"So as long as you understand my intent -- I still get people: 'Well, just don't say it,'" he said, mocking critics.
Co-host Joy Behar, also a comedian, had asked Allen about "pc culture" which she said made comedy "really hard."
"I think my act, if I ever brought that old act back, I'd be driven out of town," she said.(snip)
"I think its funny to make fun of people that are full of themselves. Liberals have a very small window of sense of humor about themselves, so I love poking at it," Allen previously said in an interview with IndieWire.
"Two years ago, it was the conservatives, or whatever it is. But right now liberals, particularly progressives, hide behind large concepts. If you dont agree with them, if you dont agree with that position, then you hate women, and you hate gay people, and you hate pro-choice people, whatever. And I said, 'That doesnt fit.

I’m not sure it was PC that messed up “Last Man Standing.” New season starts in January and I really hope it gets better. Before they replaced the actor who plays Mandy and emasculated Kyle, it was the funniest sitcom on TV for several years.
Oh yeah, their drift away from the strong (and very funny) conservative observations from Mike Baxter has been extremely detrimental to the show.
He’s probably the most natural comedian on the planet. He must have drove his parents and teachers crazy.
Joy Behar is a comedian? I would not have guessed.
Fake news.
Read yesterday that the PC Police are after Jay Leno for a smart ass comment he made on “America’s Got Talent”.
Well, her first name is rather ironic. Does that count?
Joyless only has hatred she hides behind comedy.
“Read yesterday that the PC Police are after Jay Leno for a smart ass comment he made on Americas Got Talent.
Yeah. Apparently, they had an act with a dog and Leno made a joke about it being Korean food. I think I read where it was edited out before the show was broadcast.
Political Correctness is a poison we have permitted to grow without resistance. We first need to mock it, then mention it whenever it shows itself, asking why people still hold to it.
I liked the ‘old’ Mandy.
In Korean drive thru’s they hand you a puppy and for the kid’s meal they hand you a kitten dyed pink and call it the Hello Kitty meal.... : )
“I liked the old Mandy.”
She was terrific. Apparently, the one year hiatus the show had after being booted off ABC prompted her to take another gig. I don’t know what she’s doing now, but she’s a great talent.
Main role in movie Front Runner.
Ah, yes, that was the movie about Gary Hart. It got somewhat lukewarm reviews.
Molly Ephraim is her name. I see from IMdB that she has also recently appeared on a couple of sitcoms in 2019. Too bad neither of them was “Last Man Standing.”
Shes getting into her mid-30s. I suppose if she ever wants to be known for anything else, this would be her time.
She was great on Last Man.
Joy Behar is a comedian? I thought she is an angry bitch...
Clowns are not comedians. Hence the msm lie sbout Behar.
If you have to explain a joke, you got bigger problems. The issue with comedy is that very little of it is funny, unless you co sided dropping F-bombds for you punchline hilarious. Very few naturally fipunny people out there. Tim Allen started off that way with Men Are Pigs, but since then nothing that great.
I didn’t like it. Allen was a milquetoast conservative with all the other characters on the show lecturing and looking down on him from their preachy liberal perches. A common discussion question would be, “Are you voting for Hickenlooper?” No mention of what a gun grabbing turd he was.
Conservatism for that show is having a daughrer in the military. I never understood what was so great about it.
