An attorney for a Navy SEAL convicted of posing with a dead Islamic State militant contended Wednesday that Navy leaders are trying to remove him from the elite force in retaliation for President Donald Trump’s decision last week to restore his rank.
Rear Adm. Collin Green made his intentions clear at a staff meeting Monday that he wants to remove Special Warfare Operations Chief Edward Gallagher’s Trident pin, which designates him as a SEAL, attorney Timothy Parlatore said. Green is the Naval Special Warfare commander.
“What I’m hearing is that the rear admiral said very disparaging comments about the president and stated his disagreement with the president’s actions and said therefore I want to move forward in removing his Trident,” Parlatore said.
Parlatore filed an inspector general’s complaint Tuesday accusing Green of insubordination for defying Trump. He said Green should be fired and court-martialed. …

Nominated for Rear Admiral in 2014. That makes him more likely to be an Obama boy.

However, if it is true that the Admiral "made very disparaging comments about the president" in a staff meeting, that is a major problem for which he should be relieved of command.

I notice that so many admirals and generals suck up to liberal democrats. I guess that is why they got the star. I went to high school with a guy who graduated from the Naval Academy and was a Top Gun fighter pilot. He was a real warrior. He retired from the Navy with the rank of captain. I asked him why he did not make admiral. He said “Because I did not want to kiss ass!”

I think they can kick him out of the units, but the trident is representative of completing the course. Just as you cannot “unjump” jump wings.

Thinks he’s too big to get fired? President Truman fired General Douglas MacArthur during the Korean War. MacArthur was even popular with the public.
I wonder how Lt. Col. Vindman got his ribbons? Dems are putting their liberals in the military and they seem too be putting many of them into politics as well.
