Finally made it to suburban Baltimore from NYC. My new hobby is unpacking boxes. Occasionally, I look up and seek a source for the local news. Is there a local facsimile of the NY Post, or must I pay for the dummocrapic Baltimore Sun for an online newspaper? I hate supporting dummocraps, even one red cent.
Thanks, fellow FReepers.
P.S., please spare me any Baltimore-bashing comments. I have some very valid personal reasons to have moved here. And it sure beats the HECK out of NYC, which deteriorates more and more every single day.
I do miss the comic strips.
Good luck I dont knew of anything.
The Washington Times covers local and regional news. They are fairly conservative in the editorial stance.
The Sun is the MSM paragon in town. The local TV stations all have news on their websites. The main ones are WJZ (CBS), WBAL (NBC) and Fox 45. Two of the three typically link Sun online articles for both local and national news. There are a good number of conservatives in the Baltimore suburbs and I’d wager a bunch of us are online frequently. What is telling about local news coverage is that the “Comments” section of all the online news outlets including the Sun are mostly inoperative and a waste of time to try to read or post comments on. A couple of years ago this was not the case and I estimated over 95% of the comments on these liberal sites were from conservatives. The Baltimore Sun costs a dollar for the daily hard copy and they try to hook you into paying for reading their crap online. The only section that is free is the obituaries which I read every morning just to see how many of the newly dead I knew. Don’t expect much in the way of balanced coverage of any type of story here. Just like everywhere else.
Maybe try a couple of the local TV station websites. Or even the Sun, they probably have a ‘local news’ button.
BTW , i 've been wanting to ask a NYer about the NYPost... is it the conservative choice for NY ?

Faced with the absolutely abysmal New York Slimes, the shamelessly leftist commie rag the NY Daily News (which used to be a good paper!), and the NY Post, the Post is the closest to being conservative. I'd say it was centrist, but at least you have Michael Goodwin and a couple of other non-commie libtard writers there.
GO RAVENS!
“I stopped taking our local Denver Post in 2004. “
I stopped it years ago and then they bought the Longmont Times-Call and ruined it too.
Read the NY Post, free, online like everyone else I know.
Sadly, yes. It’s all Ravens and left wing politics. No thanks.
I second that. I've been a resident of the Washington DC area for 45 years. I used to subscribe to the Washington Star, and remember when it folded in 81, I got invites from the Baltimore Sun to subscribe. I said "No way!" LOL
Then, the Washington Times came on board in 82, I jumped at the opportunity. I currently subscribe to their e-edition.
THANK YOU!
THANK YOU!
Thanks for the info. Ive thought the Wash Times to be conservative(or center at least)
Years ago there was a competing paper, the News American. Haven’t heard of it for decades. The only others one might find; USA Today, or various from Virginia, etc. would all be left lib drive-bys.
Yall are Moonies
Just kidding
