"Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer Has A $454 Billion Proposal To Encourage America To Go Electric"

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument

Patriots are reminded that the states have never expressly constitutionally delegated to the feds the specific power to do what misguided Sen. Schumer wants to do with electric vehicles (EVs).

While we need volunteer consumers to pioneer the use of EVs, EV batteries are not only known to not hold their charge in freezing weather, but California EV owners are facing the possibility of temporarily not being able to use their vehicles because of blackouts in the name of wildfire prevention.

That being said, it wouldn’t be surprising if Schumer ultimately regarded his proposed, unconstitutional EV program as successful if it helps to keep career Democrats and RINOs in power.

Remember in November 2020!

Keep America Great!

“wouldn’t be surprising if Schumer ultimately regarded his proposed, unconstitutional EV program as successful if it helps to keep career Democrats and RINOs in power.”

And that is all it’s about.

This is an impeachment year, no time for this crap.
Next year is an election year, still no time.

In the unlikely event, anyone talks about it too late, most of the components will come from offshore, some nonunion assembly in the USA.

This is a fake to the UAW.

And that they will have to drive cars that have to refuel every 200 miles and it will take 45 minutes each time to refuel.

As long as it costs BILLIONS IN TAXPAYER DOLLARS, the Democrats are for it.

California’s electric grid is in shambles and will cost billions to upgrade. The power company is bankrupt and cannot afford to pay for the work. Meanwhile, California will not build new power plants and is in fact closing down power plants.

Solution - have the taxpayers of other states fund a big federal program to upgrade the grid. Democrats in Congress, and compliant Republicans, write the legislation so big urban green states such as California and New York get most of the money. The enhanced grid will facilitate the import of power from neighboring states. Hence the Greens can shut down the remaining power plants in California and New York and the electrical needs will be met by solar and wind supplemented with imported fossil fuel produced energy imported from neighboring states for when the sun doesn’t shine and the wind doesn’t blow.

Eliminate the consequences of insane Green policies by having your neighbors pay the infrastructure bill and supply your needs.

I have a 1998 vehicle. It runs well, but it's starting to show its age. Over the weekend, it was in the shop for $1,000 of repair work. In two years, estimated, the thing will require an even larger chunk of bucks to keep it safe. (Tires were last year's expense.)

So I've been looking at replacements. I'm looking for a hybrid AWD/4WD with a hefty enclosed cargo space. I'm NOT looking for a pickup.

Slim pickin’s in the marketplace for any EV, but I have quite a number of choices in gas sippers. The car reviewers say that the EV versions of the vehicles I'm interested are not mature enough. If I'm going to plunk down $41K I want something that fits my needs, and isn't half-baked.

It's too bad Chuckie isn't an automotive engineer, who can produce such a vehicle. Until something that checks all the boxes arrives, I'm going to stick with the tried and true.

How much of that $454 billion dollars is for new coal-fired power plants?
We will need them to create all that new demand for electricity.

In my neck of the woods, we have power outages. An electric car is just the thing we don’t need. Those power outages in California are a major disaster for electric cars. And the increased demand for electricity to charge them would tax the electrical capacity to generate the power.

Perhaps Chuckie and his climate alarmist cronies want US citizens to start eating zoo animals as they have done in Venezuela - once the farmers can’t get the food to the cities.
