Colorado is not THAT blue and could flip red under the right circumstances. Example: passage of the green new deal. Colorado has a diverse economy. Locals are happy with their local Democrat governments, but they tend to function in a manner that would make the average Freeper happy.

I think he meant that the wall they’re building in the south will protect Colorado as well (which has had a drop in illegals). Don’t forget that many of these “immigrants” are not Mexican or even Latin American, but are Africans, Chinese, Middle Easterners, etc. smuggled in by the gangs.

We are currently building border wall on the Colorado River, around Yuma Arizona.
Mighty thirty foot bollards wall system, with great patrol road and loads of technology.
That area around Yuma has long been the third most heavily trafficked corridor, after the Rio Grande Valley, and San Diego.
That whole area has been funded for barrier (except for a few miles of Indian Reservation, which is getting just the technology).
All of the big three corridors are funded for closure, and are now under construction. San Diego is mostly done, the Rio Grande Valley is just starting to lay rebar. Yuma is in the middle - well underway, with multiple segments progressing simultaneously. All three are scheduled to be effectively controlled before the end of President Trump’s first term.
