you are so right. I’ve spent as much restoring that beast as I paid for it new. I just bought a new battery for it, installed a new front bumper and grille, and realized that the alternator isn’t charging and the blinkers don’t work. If I didn’t love that old truck, I would have set it on fire and pushed it into the lake long ago.

I drove a Jeep Cherokee years ago. It threw a rod at 60K miles. Trashed the engine. I parted it out and got rid of it.
I learned later that it was made at some factory in Tennessee or Kentucky that was having labor problems and the workers were sabotaging the vehicles before they got off the assembly line.
Lucky me.
