Trump Campaign to Sue CNN After Project Veritas Exposes Company Bias
The Epoch Times ^ | 10-18-19 | Jack Phillips

A lawyer for President Trump’s reelection team sent a letter to CNN President Jeff Zucker and Vice President David Vigilante. “Your actions are in violation of the Lanham act,” stated the letter, drafted by attorney Charles Harder of Harder LLP. The letter cited footage posted by Project Veritas that showed alleged CNN employees speaking about Zucker’s “personal vendetta” to “take down President Trump.” In one of the videos, the employees are heard saying that CNN made attempts to report the news in an unbiased and neutral perspective, the letter read. However, “In fact, its reporting is far from neutral and highly biased against” Trump.

This is something great Trump is doing here!

I’m curious what kind of special favors CNN gets for being a licensed TV news organization. They need a broadcast license and there’s a certain amount of “media responsibility” that the FCC governs.

I found a good opinion piece on The Responsibility of the Press.

https://blogs.fco.gov.uk/petermillett/2012/02/13/the-responsibility-of-the-press/

Wouldn’t it be fun during a press conference, just before Trump is set to take questions, to have an FCC official say a few words to the reporters about “media responsibility”.

And watch the reporters’ heads explode!

Keeps the story alive for weeks. Some times in Poltics it a good idea to fight a battle even if you know your going to lose rathen then to cravenly surrender at the 1st bit of opposition like the GOP-e habitual does

Oh and it also forces CNN to waste a chunk of it vanishing revenues paying lawyers. Finally someone on our side understand how to play the Democrats political guerrilla war games back on them

Well if politicians have ‘armed’ and are using our Justice System to take down our President via a political coup without repercussions why would a law suite do anything to stop CNN doing likewise or any other network?

My understanding is that FCC licenses are granted to over-the-air broadcasters. Cable/streaming/Internet broadcasters like CNN, Fox, MSNBC, etc. don't qualify.

Tend to agree with Mark Twain, here:
"Mark Twain once said: “stupid people – who constitute the overwhelming majority of this and all other nations – believe and are convinced by what they get out of a newspaper, and there is where the harm lies.”

We've known in the past media has failed to be fair to conservative thought. They totally obliterated the concept of fairness in their election of BO. We have been left with 8 years of 'grease' and the clogs are gummed up. Only serious stuff will once again keep the wheels turning. To remind them of their responsibility before each and every event might be just the shove they need. With lack of responsibility come consequences. Then, DO IT. Dole out the penalties for failing to preform.
