Former President Barack Obama on the passing of iconic Maryland congressman, Rep. Elijah Cummings.
“Michelle (Obama) and I are heartbroken over the passing of our friend, Elijah Cummings. As chairman of the House Oversight Committee, he showed us all not only the importance of checks and balances within our democracy, but also the necessity of good people stewarding it,” said the former president. “Steely yet compassionate, principled yet open to new perspectives, Chairman Cummings remained steadfast in his pursuit of truth, justice, and reconciliation. It’s a tribute to his native Baltimore that one of its own brought such character, tact, and resolve into the halls of power every day. And true to the giants of progress he followed into public service, Chairman Cummings stood tallest and most resolute when our country needed him the most. May his example inspire more Americans to pick up the baton and carry it forward in a manner worthy of his service. Our deepest sympathies and abiding love go to his wife, Maya, his three children, and all those whose lives he touched.”

I first noticed him when I was reading about a Tea Party march in Washington. He was near the marchers and walked through them, peacefully. But later he claimed, with absolutely no evidence, that he was spit on by the crowd. Andrew Brietbart offered $100k to anyone who could identify the spitter, and no one claimed to have seen it. The fact that he slandered a whole group of people for some cheap race baiting points told me all I needed to know about him.

For the longest time, I’ve been saying on these threads that I had a strong gut feeling that someone big on the political Left would be biting the big one unexpectedly.
I don’t know if Cummings fulfills my premonition. Despite his seniority and chairmanship, I always saw him as a second-tier villain.
Now, if it had been Hitlery, RBG, Pelosi, Schumer, etc., I would consider myself a regular seer and soothsayer.
But Cummings ... just a hack politician who will be replaced in short order by another hack politician.

Yes, and he was the main supporter of the bunch who run the Kansas City IRS center, the Fresno one and the Ogden, Utah one, to mention a few. He was a VERY dangerous liberal, and extremely EVIL man.
Perhaps the Kenyan Fraud is referring to some other Elijah Cummings than the shakedown artist and hustler who represented Baltimore for so many years. Obummer’s description does not match up with reality.
