Today’s Cryptogram

VWBQTUBQWE KQZZ UZVWAB UZKUNA CJUB VJHJ BUZJEB. —EWHVUE H. UPRPABQEJ

.

You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications.

The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.

PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.

You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram.

If you're just starting out on these, be patient, as you'll be proficient in no time.

If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hal’s Helper below:

You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.

HAL'S CRYPTOGRAM HELPER

THE IN THING NOW IS TO SCROLL DOWN TO MAGNUM44’S “HELPFUL HINT” BEFORE YOU SOLVE THE PUZZLE.

I guessed the second word, then I guessed the fourth word, then I was on my way! About five minutes

One of the easiest. Word two is what you think it is, which should give you word four, then words three and six should be obvious, and after that it’s just typing.

1 min except for the name.

2nd word leads to 3rd and 4th words (look at letters appearing twice). 4th word is key.

Yes, a little intimidating at first then you see word #2 and it’s what you think it is, and that gives you #4 an old friend that shows up a lot.

I love this quotation, because it’s easy to get down. I remember when I was in my residency. The attending told us, “I don’t give a damn about the medical student who had straight As. I want the person who will get out of bed at 2 am to see a patient.”

OTHO, I play guitar. I wish I had more of the last word in this puzzle.

Like you said, got the second word, then the forth. Figured out remaining by plug and chug. Took about 3 and 1/2 min.

Very quick, even without coffee. Got the ‘e’ first and it pretty much unzipped after that.
