Several events are being held this week in response to a book burning at Georgia Southern University that's making national headlines.
This Monday, the school's Student Government Association will host a forum to discuss diversity and inclusion on campus, followed by a forum on censorship and the history of burning literature hosted by the university's history department.
"I believe change starts within yourself first. If you don't know someone is unhappy, or faced with a certain situation, you won't ever know. So if we can provide that outlet, hear each other's concerns and opinions, we can bring some ideas and change," SGA President Juwan Smith said in an interview with WJCL 22 News.
On Wednesday, the college hosted author Jennine Capo Crucet as a guest lecturer to discuss her book "Make Your Home Among Strangers." The night escalated after one student asked the author if she had the authority to discuss "white privilege."
That night, witnesses recorded videos of students burning the author's books on campus grounds.
Previous reports by the university claimed students gathered outside Crucet's hotel, but the university has since taken the statement back.
The university has released a statement saying the acts were "within the students' First Amendment rights," but added that "book burning does not align with Georgia Southern's values nor does it encourage the civil discourse and debate of ideas."
They hedonistically party and play football at Georgia Southern. It should not be confused with an academic institution of higher learning.
And still not one shred of outrage about the Neo Facist street violence from Antifa.

How does the book burring fit in with diversity and inclusion? Good training the next generation of Bolsheviks?
Burn a book by MLK or the Koran, and suddenly that activity won’t “...be within a student’s First Amendment rights.”
I went to GA Southern, back before there was such a thing as ‘white privilege’.

If the students burned books they owned, but disagreed with the ideas expressed, what’s the problem? It’s not as if they emptied the school library and burned it all. And I’m sure there are still books available from the nitwit author for any who want them.

“White privilege” is nonsense. There is such a thing as tribalism. If you think it’s bad now, wait until whites are no longer the majority. You’ll see priviledge out the ying yang.
I think it’s more than ironic that a majority of blacks in this country have validated the basest, worst racist ideas of the KKK. That if left to their own devices blacks would rape, pillage and enslave whites. That they are more violent, more promiscuous and more prone to subvert basic human liberties. That they are less likely as a race to “Pull up by bootstraps” than other ethnic groups. Maybe the Portuguese and North African slave traders knew what they were doing. The Negro variation of the human species by genetic predisposition was more apt to make good chattle slaves. 4+ generations out from slavery, blacks can’t seem to “get it” , with some exceptions. I was at the movies yesterday where the theater was about 75% black and the teenagers under 16 were like rambunctious monkeys, no sense of consideration or social norms of behavior. Like barely human.

Stereotypes aren’t just pulled out of thin air. Truth is racist, but what are you gonna do? Same with pandering to angry muslims. The elite are afraid of rioters.
