Trump dumps Ukraine call on Rick Perry
Washington Examiner ^ | 10/5/19 | Daniel Chaitin

President Trump told Republicans that Energy Secretary Rick Perry encouraged him to have the phone call with Ukraine's president that flung his presidency into chaos.

During a conference call with GOP lawmakers in the House on Friday, Trump claimed he did not even want to have the July 25 conversation in which he urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate his political rivals. A clash over a U.S. intelligence official's whistleblower complaint that raised concerns about this phone call paved the way for House Democrats to launch an impeachment inquiry.

Chronologically, Perry trashed Trump, IIRC, and The Donald is just reciprocating.

Perry must’ve forgot (again) that he was supposed to shutdown the energy department.

And Perry acknowledged he provided the encouragement...perhaps Perry has reasons not stated for his resignation...

Dammit, Mr. President. There’s no need to do any explaining. Keep the focus on Joe and Hunter Biden. They are trying to keep the focus on you.

...Rick Perry encouraged him to have the phone call with Ukraine's president...

There is the first knife in the back.

Now find out who "encouraged" Perry to encourage POTUS to make the call.

Because Perry was looking at LNG markets in Europe and Ukraine is one of the key players to opening a distribution system. Oil companies are in the process of building a series of "deep water" terminals for exporting LNG world wide but Europe is a special target to break the Russian stranglehold on European markets --------

---------- but when you have a lying press and thousands of "useful idiots" on the internet, you have conspiracy mongers galore. YOU JUST CAN'T FIX STUPID!

Talk of his resignation is Fake News.

And the President isn't blaming Perry for anything.

Perry does nothing on his own. He has always, even back in TX, done the bidding of someone else. Always with his finger in the air testing the wind. Always working to get kickbacks for himself and his good buddies - remember the HPV Gardasil vaccine fiasco. And his DREAM Act and DACA. And he left the governorship due to the indictment over funding. He’s not as squeaky clean as some would like to think.

You are correct. Perry was necessarily involved with the Ukraine’s gas production as part of his job. Asking the President to ask for investigation into corruption involving Ukrainian companies could also be part of Perry’s job, and certainly wouldn’t constitute any wrong doing on either Perry’s or the President’s part, IMHO...

This story really stinks. President Trump never avoids responsibility for his own actions and blames someone else. I highly doubt the veracity of this, especially now that the Demonrats are calling for the firing and prosecution of the entire cabinet (Tlaib, et al)

Dammit, Mr. President. There’s no need to do any explaining.

Exactly. Stuff like this makes it look like he's guilty of something. Plus, all leaders should understand that you never blame your subordinates. It makes you look like you're not in charge.
