It took only one generation of progressive leadership to plunge Venezuela into civil war. Why should it be any different for the USA?
ALWAYS follow the sequence of socialism. Always.
At one point in that timeline, they privatized their oil industry, which is another way of saying that the government took ownership.
Roll the US timeline back to Ovama’s election. A coup was set in motion, and we were to be into the first term of a Hillary presidency, clueless about the coup, at this point.
I agree the ingredients are there politically for civil war to break out, but lacking weapons is a show stopper.
Um, shouldn’t that be “nationalized?”
United States timeline?
2021 Voted for Socialist president on “Income Inequality”
2024...government massacred by own citizens.
You’re right. What I said was about the exact opposite of what I meant.
Thanks for the correction.
Because our boys and girls in the armed forces and those in law enforcement swore an oath to defend the constitution not to the political class.
A new civil war would be short lived as the only troops the left could muster would be antifa and a few divisions of militant Girl Scouts.
Except for Portland OR, there all bets are off.
One need only look at the old Soviet Union :
The people got little to eat except half rotten potatos and some vodka (the opiate of the people that was subsidized by the government). Party members who kowtowed to the ‘State’ got ‘less rotten’ potatoes to eat and more opportunities to obtain black market western goods (the black market was 1/4 of their entire economy).
