It was more like, "Ben Gay".
There were Three remakes of Ben Hur. Heston was in remake II it was the best IMHO!
Ben Hur (with Chuck Heston), 2016 remake was a PC DISASTER.
The jack@sses behind the remake forgot about the main Christian theme of the story. After all, the book’s title was “Ben Hur, A Tale of the Christ.”
The ending of the 2016 disaster had Judah and Messala riding off together with the MUSLIM sheik (Morgan Freeman) and his nomad band of many wives and family members. Forget the parts about the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, Judah becoming a Christian, etc.
The 2016 remake was pathetic and ridiculous.
