The worst customer service we’ve ever dealt with I would throw the damn TV out the window and get something else

Did you ever try Dish?

I live where my only options are Dish and DirecTV. Waiting for my DirecTV DVR to die and then I’ll go back to DISH. Don’t like long term contracts either. AFter ATT took over DirecTV, DirecTV went from bad to really bad. DIsh does some of the same things. Neither makes a deal until they are forced to make a deal.

I’ve heard complaints about Direct TV rom every I know who has or had it. Same with Dish.

I still have Comcast, but it’s costing me more than I’d like. It’s particularly hard during the summer, when there’s so little original programming being aired. Food Network, Fox Sports Detroit and Cooking Channel comprise about 96% of what I watch. Fox broadcasting channel has Master Chef, which I like, but I think this year’s final episode airs tonight.

Been watching Amazon Prime some, but it takes a little work to find something worth watching. I have a Roku but haven’t set it up yet. Thinking about Hulu, maybe Netflix, but not both at the same time. If I cut the cord I want to save money.

Any recommendations would be welcome.

when calling D* for any customer service my experiences are that calls are routed first to their Philippines call center. If you want to speak to their USA call centers that seem to offer higher quality service simply say ‘Cancel Service’ when prompted by their auto answering service. I’ve received many offers from the Retention Department that kept me a subscriber. At this point since I only watch a dozen channels, I can’t justify $150 monthly bill for just one satellite box.

It was once a magnificent product. Now it is beyond terrible.

Before they were purchased by ATT DTV had the gold standard of customer service. Have had it since 2001. The change when ATT took over was striking.
