I’ve heard complaints about Direct TV rom every I know who has or had it. Same with Dish.
I still have Comcast, but it’s costing me more than I’d like. It’s particularly hard during the summer, when there’s so little original programming being aired. Food Network, Fox Sports Detroit and Cooking Channel comprise about 96% of what I watch. Fox broadcasting channel has Master Chef, which I like, but I think this year’s final episode airs tonight.
Been watching Amazon Prime some, but it takes a little work to find something worth watching. I have a Roku but haven’t set it up yet. Thinking about Hulu, maybe Netflix, but not both at the same time. If I cut the cord I want to save money.
Any recommendations would be welcome.
When you set up ROKU like we did, you can access You Tube and get a lot of things. I’m able to watch Fox News Channel every morning (F&F) and can access other shows, too from You Tube.
We were in your position 3 years ago with Comcast raising our bill every 6 months.
Code Toad advised me to cancel regular Comcast and to go Comcast business with a blazing fast internet. We did and the cost/mo for two phones and the internet is a little over $100/mo.
We have Amazon Prime and get a lot of our tv watching for free. We pay about $5 a month for CBS, Acorn tv and Brit Box is another $5/month. We contribute $5 to our PBS and get a ton of stuff via Prime. We are SF Giant fans and pay Sling tv $25/ month for the SF Giants. Sling Blue does not carry ABC/Disney and their pro football thug stations. So none of our money go to their trash. We pay about $120/mo in non baseball time.
For some reason, when we have a California blackout, Comcast Business internet continues to work during the blackout. Also, our cul de sac is loaded with college kids. When they come home for a weekend or holiday, our old Comcast and our neighbors’s AT&T Internets slows to a crawl. Ours never slows down.
Forgot to add, I’ve been seeing a lot more of OANN on You Tube as well.
Why not stream instead of comcast? I get my local channels and 120 cable channels plus two premium movie channels for $20 /mo.....
