The 2019 NFL season has gotten off to a brutal start for the league's quarterbacks, who are dropping like flies.

Through just two weeks, we've already seen Ben Roethlisberger, Drew Brees and Nick Foles go down with serious injuries. Cam Newton might also end up missing a game in Week 3 due to a foot problem and Sam Darnold is expected to miss multiple games due to mononucleosis.

With so many quarterbacks going down, it seems that Colin Kaepernick is hoping the 2019 season will be the year that his unofficial blackballing from the NFL finally comes to an end. According to SportsNet New York, Kaepernick's agent has reached out to multiple teams this week in hopes of landing a job for his client...

Browns took OBJ. Patriots signed Antonio Brown. Teams don’t want CRAPPY cancers on their team. They’ll take a chance on ones that will start.

The Toronto Argonauts might have an opening on their practice squad.

My favorite photo of the former professional quarterback. I guess the Chiefs weren't interested as they just signed Matt Moore, undrafted in 2007, to serve his 12th season in the NFL.

“Maybe that is what we need . He plays for a non-playoff caliber team and is horrible. Makes it hard to have any credibility when you stink and get booed by home town fans”

Wondering ir the offense would play for him; make blocks, follow assignments, etc?

I’m thinking a team will take him for bottom dollar.

You may be correct, however, as a 6 year veteran, the collective barging agreement would require a salary of at least $800,000. There are at least a dozen one or two year veterans with enough upside potential they were retained by teams on their practice squads. They are available to be picked up by any team for half Kaepernick's cost and none of his baggage. Under the salary cap, $400,000 is often the difference in keeping a good player.

I don't want his ilk playing even though I am not really watching it..

from what I remember reading, he was offered qb jobs before this year but didn't want to be a backup and wanted big money.....

he had one good year....otherwise I don' think he's that good....

The NFL would gain from the publicity if he returns.

One of the stranger movies I’ve watched...

It was for me too. But the whole time I was watching I kept thinking how it all looked so familiar to me. Then I realized it was shot in southern Idaho where I spent several great summers as a kid.

Well, hell, my theory just went out the window. I didn’t know anything about that bargaining agreement and the guaranteed money. Learn something all the time.

I was thinking they’d offer him $500k, guaranteed, and then toss in some incentives that could up the contract to something over $1million, or so, for the year, and then have it renewable, or something like that.

$800k out of the box for him. I doubt it. He would have to be throwing absolute lasers during any type of tryout w/ any team. Doubt that’ll happen. At the end of the day, he isn’t that good.

You might be racist or something for even thinking that being in shape should matter for him! (/s)

Too late, Kap. You should have figured out you were a back-up three years ago, when the rest of the league did. Out of the game too long, now.
