The New England Patriots were reportedly unaware that Antonio Brown was facing sexual assault and rape accusations when the team signed him last week, according to ESPNs Adam Schefter. With Browns signing announced and the star wideout scheduled to begin practice with the team on Wednesday, the Patriots are now deciding how to proceed. The team released a statement late Tuesday night confirming it is aware of the lawsuit and that the NFL will be investigating the matter.

Complete nonsense. This accusation is absurd on its face and will go nowhere.
“Now they are stuck with paying him what he got guaranteed”
I seriously doubt it.
NFL contracts, for many years, have had a “good moral character”, and “reflect poorly on the organization” type clause in their contracts.
The Patriots should be able to kick this guy to the curb, without paying him a dime.
Maybe, but sounds like he’s had an attitude, starting with the helmet thingy, and then the spat with the GM. I guess we’ll see real quick, unless they suspend him for not revealing the lawsuit, if there is a lawsuit.
In fairness to him, these people are like gladiators. They’re born and bred and brought up to play a physical sport, and that position MUST be played as aggressively as possible.
I hope the guy succeeds, but there’s something about this telling me, he’s got a rip in his brain.
Haw-Haw!!!
Yea, sure - and Tom Brady and Belichick were surprised that footballs were being deflated to give them an advantage (sarc)!!
What do the Pats and Raiders have in common? "Just Win Baby!"
That was the one with girl locked in the bathroom the hush money and it all went away. Then somebody sat Ben down because we haven’t heard no more scandals or motorcycle. Seemed like been listened
The Nuffins get a new brutha - Antonio Nuffin...
Haha! Now THAT is funny! If that were the case, Belichick, himself, should have been gone 10 or 12 years ago :-)
This sounds like he moved to new england and didn’t tell her so she is going to get hers.
Here is her picture.

I think Antonio Brown has some mental issues - his behavior has gone well past “lousy teammate” to “what is going on with this dude”. But this woman claims she was attacked by Brown - and then continued working for him as his personal trainer. Attacked again - and she again continued to work for him as his personal trainer. Attacked a third time, and at that point it’s still not clear if she continued to work for him as a personal trainer. If she wants the police and prosecutors to believe Brown raped her, maybe she should have acted like Brown raped her.
A Patriots fan on another board opined:
“Suddenly, Josh Gordon is our most stable receiver.”
The day after the alleged rape, she went to his home and said they need to talk about what happened last night.
IOW, they had consensual sex. It meant nothing to him but she hoped it did.
I hope he sues her for every penny she has.
A lot of disappointing posters being exposed here.
We will see. In the #metoo age not so sure, like it or not.
She said-he said only with BR.
Whereas with AB the woman has shown some initial “evidence” and claims to have even more support and testimonial corroboration. The AB texts out now, if proven to be real, are damning. Simply saying at this early stage there appears to be more credible evidence against Brown in a somewhat comparable situation. At this point it appears a civil court jury will go through their process and decide.
IMO while the civil suit winds through the court the Commissioner should carry out the NFL’s planned investigation and suspend Brown at least until their organizational determination is made (similar to Roethlisberger et al).
Read her story again—I think she was ambivalent and he interpreted that as a green light.
Normally when a women says “just friends” that means “no sex”. (That is what is taught in “red pill”. You can ignore almost everything a women says, just watch what she does, but “just friends” is a deal-killer, full stop.)
I bet a judge would rule the same way.
I work with a liberal black guy who asked me if I watch the NFL. It was sort of an acid test for him because I could see he was trying to probe how woke I am. Another black guy saved me because he said Im at work when all the games are playing.
Retired now, but my “black fellow employee trying to test my wokeness” moment happened when he asked if any blacks lived in my rural town.
My (totally amazing imho ;-) ) answer: Well, everyone has a _really_ long driveway out here, so I have no idea.
(What I _wanted_ to say was “We have more moose families than black families. :-) )
Never discount the idea that she may be crazy.
I don’t know enough to have an opinion on the veracity of accuser’s allegations.
But I don’t believe for one damn minute that if the allegations are in fact true, the NFL didn’t know it, condone it, and cover for Brown.
Me Three
That is so inappropriate. I would never laugh and cover my mouth to keep people from hearing me at something like that.
