On August 25th Swedish YouTuber "PewDiePie" Felix Kjelberg passed the 100 million subscriber mark, becoming the most popular YouTuber in history. YouTube has send him a Red Diamond award marking his achievement.
Along with the award YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki also sent Kjelberg a letter congradulating him on his recent marriage to fiance Marzia Bisognin after eight years of dating.
Kjelberg took the occaision to announce that he would be celebrating the massive milestone by donating a whopping $50,000 to the Anti-Defamation League.
The sudden generosity is puzzling, given ADL's leadership role in tarring Kjelberg with allegations he has a history in making anti-semitic videos.
Kjelberg made no announcement explaining his motives for the award, which has provoked a storm of outrage and speculation online, with many fans speculating blackmail or imposition of a "success tax".

Doesnt the ADL work with YouTube to censor people? Pew is probably bribing them like Moe Dailitz so YouTube wont kick him off for his offensive material (too be fair Im over 30 so I I have never watched pew)

ADL = Al Sharpton in a kippah.

LOL! That’s a “vision”. And true.
To: gaijin
And if his subscriber rate plummets, does he still get the Red Diamond?

Imagine how much more he would be worth if he had a brain and didn’t suck the phallus of Google.
“Well here’s the deal. We have this website called Youtube that makes us billions of dollars every year in ad revenue by exploiting copyrighted music which we get away with because we have Congress in our back pocket, and we want YOU to bring to us a tremendous amount of viewers and WE are not going to help you one bit in promoting it or investing in it. Matter of fact, we will work against you if it even reeks of Trump support”

The $50k makes Kjelberg seem like a QUISLING.
It incentivizes the further censorship of OTHER YouTubers.
It’s Stockhom Syndrome.

ADL has been so very poor for years... at its stated primary mission of defending Jewish people from anti-Semitic attacks and discrimination!
A new, effective organization is needed. Needed more and more as the D-commie-Nazi leftists promote more and more discrimination and anti- Semitism.

Fake youtube subscribers can be bought - cheaply. I suspect many of these youtube “Stars” do exactly that.

Maybe you should educate yourself then before exposing to all that your are ignorant on a topic that nonetheless you thought it worthwhile to comment on.
While no saint, and his videos are certainly not always family viewing, he does mock the hypocrisy of the left and woke culture, including mocking his own native Sweden.
For this 'sin' he is hated and reviled by the usual suspects on the left. Knowing his style, this donation to the ADL is more than likely his way of trolling them.

They’re not defending Jewish people. They’re defending the Democrat party. That’s all.

You obviously have me confused with someone who cares about some dweeb who has 100 million "followers" on utube! Why would I EVER watch someone who is ". . . no saint [whose] videos are certainly not always family viewing. . . ."? I have much better things to do than waste my time on a utuber!
