My current iPhone X battery went tits up and was only 2 years old. $100 service charge. Not happy camper. Any Lithium Oxide battery will fail after ~600-700 charge cycles. It’s the nature of the beast. Two years is approximately 730 charge cycles. You could have changed that battery yourself for about $20.
